01 / Our approach

Conversations that give you something back.

Good coaching creates the space to make sense of what you already know, with someone who has no agenda of their own. I listen intently, leave room for silence, and ask the questions that help you notice what is already there.

We work with your signature strengths while being equally interested in what you need from others. Good leadership isn’t about being good at everything; knowing where others complement you is a strength in itself.

We also explore the decisions, relationships and transitions that demand your attention. The aim is clarity you can use and a way of leading that feels more your own.

Jonathan’s coaching was instrumental in me making the biggest and best decision of my professional life (so far!).

02 / About Jonathan

A coach who knows leadership from the inside.

I have spent more than two decades in senior leadership and people roles, most recently as Chief People Officer at the University of Salford. Alongside that work I have coached Vice-Chancellors, judges, arts and sporting leaders, and senior executives.

Experience matters. So does curiosity. My job is to bring both into a conversation where you can think out loud, be challenged with care, and find a way forward that works for you.

Most coaching is with Jonathan. Where someone else would be a better fit, and by agreement, Winter People can introduce a carefully chosen expert coach — because the right fit matters more than who does the coaching.
